SmartKlub was pleased to contribute to the OxLEP strategy planning workshop on 27th February. This workshop brought together local authorities, energy companies, community groups and key influencers to challenge the best way to prepare Clean Growth Plans for Oxfordshire. This is one of the countries fastest growth plans areas for business, housing & job creation backed by central government.
It was unanimously accepted that communities and change of social behaviour will have the greatest impact in fostering a low carbon economy. Fast enabling solutions like “Community Action Platform for Energy” (CAPE) portal that allows communities to easily start new clean energy & energy efficiency pr ojects. CAPE is a locally developed product with £1m investment funding with Innovate UK/SmartKlub and partners.
